FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Anchor Films, a Fort Wayne-based visual production agency, has been awarded a 2019 Elevate small-business grant of $25,000 from FHLBank Indianapolis. The grant will be used for equipment upgrades, which will allow Anchor to increase production capability and better serve local and regional organizations.

Anchor Films offers clients a full range of services, including filmmaking, animation, and commercial photography, working as a collaborative partner for advertising agencies, for-profit businesses, and nonprofits in Fort Wayne and throughout the Midwest.

Anchor is one of just 17 small businesses to receive the 2019 Elevate grant, and the only recipient in Fort Wayne. Anchor’s application was sponsored by 1st Source Bank, a local FHLBank member institution.

“The team at Anchor Films is creating amazing videos and photography for businesses across our region,” said Andrea Ehresman, Business Banker at 1st Source Bank. “We’re proud to have partnered with them to bring this important investment to the Fort Wayne community.”

FHLBank reviewed applications from businesses across Indiana and Michigan. Applications were evaluated on the strength of the business and impact on the local economy, among other criteria.

“We’re thrilled to be part of such a strong group of grantees,” said Matt Ayers, owner of Anchor Films. “Thanks to FHLBank and 1st Source Bank, not only will Anchor be able to grow our own business, but we’ll be better equipped to help others do the same.”
