Building Questa’s Foundation
We recently completed the cornerstone of Questa Education Foundation’s storytelling efforts: their brand film.
The film is the latest in a series of pieces we’ve worked on with Questa, an organization that helps individuals further their education, graduate with less debt, and become contributing members of NE Indiana’s workforce. We’ve been systematically addressing their storytelling needs for some time, beginning with our first collaboration that helped clarify how Questa works.
In the brand film, we turn to the bigger questions: Who are they? What are they trying to do? Why are they trying to do it? We worked together to distill the core of their brand, and wrapped this into our storyboard.
It was important for the stories we shared to be real, so we chose people and locations that reflected the everyday life of Questa scholars — we wouldn’t typically shoot interviews in cafeterias or stairwells, for example, but in this instance it added a layer of realism to our subjects. We paired these with more universal city footage, and used statistics to drive home the scope of the issue. The result is a four-minute outline of Questa’s solution to a (massive) problem, illustrated by three stories of their life-changing work and punctuated with key commentary from the organization’s leadership.
Questa’s brand film functions as a clear and persuasive introduction to the heart of the organization. It will live on their website, kick off presentations, and serve as the centerpiece for their larger storytelling efforts.
