Healthcare Goes to the Gym
At Anchor Films, our work gives us the opportunity to do a lot of really cool stuff. But it’s not every day that we get to tackle worldwide epidemics. Recently, though, we had the chance to do do just that in collaboration with our friends at Smallbox.
Here’s the situation: the world is facing a chronic disease epidemic. Healthier lifestyles, including exercise, could go a long way toward curbing this trend, but the healthcare and fitness industries can seem disconnected.
This brings up an interesting question: what if we treated exercise as the healthcare issue it is?
That’s the idea behind Exercise is Medicine (EIM), a new global health initiative from the American Medical Association and the American College of Sports Medicine. Exercise is Medicine implements a more robust, connected process that better integrates exercise and health care. It’s a simple, elegant solution with enormous potential to change the way we approach health care in the 21st century.
We produced the video above with Smallbox, a creative agency out of Indianapolis, to explain the vision and principles behind Exercise is Medicine and illustrate how it works—both logistically and in terms of results. We had a blast working with them, and are stoked to share the results of the project.
As agency partners we take a collaborative, thoughtful approach to our work. And we pride ourselves on our timeliness, even on projects that come with speed bumps or tight turnarounds—both of which we navigated in the production of this film.
Bottom line: we pride ourselves on producing great work with our clients, not just for them. And we’d love nothing more than to partner with you—to harness your story’s potential, wrap it into a compelling package, and then set it loose in the world.
Let’s get started.
